Q3 Highlights
- The average ransom payment for Q3 2020 was $233,817. This is up 31% from Q2 2020.
- The median ransom payment for Q3 2020 was $110,532 – up 2% from Q2 2020 ($108,597).
- The biggest change in ransomware payment statistics is that attackers are targeting much larger enterprises, which overs higher profit margins for the illicit industry.
